The Borderline Mid’s have a full grain nubuck which is superb for foot protection. Likewise, the Hydropel water resistant technology is a major plus. As expected from a boot maker of Regatta’s quality, the seam is sealed with an internal membrane liner. There are rubber overlays which are ideal for protecting against any bumps in the path and the collar and tongue are more padded than average boots.
Positives about Regatta Borderline Mid

They’re a beautiful looking boot, and can handle a hard hike as well as being pretty suitable for casual wear. They come in at a good price point for their quality and they’re more protective than most other boots in the same price bracket. The water protection is very admirable and they make for a very smooth walk.
I’ve worn these boots in both winter and summer and found them suitable for both. They had all the elements of breathability you’re looking for in the warm weather and the padding and waterproof element you need for the winter.
I kept a pair of these on after testing them and I’m grateful I did so. They’re certainly in the top few that I recommend to my own friends and family when asked.
Negatives about Regatta Borderline Mid
I’m struggling for many negatives. The only thing I’d say is that some boots in this price range struggle, being neither at the luxury nor bargain end of the market. If you were desperately searching for more negatives I’d say perhaps the traction could be very slightly deeper.
Price of Regatta Borderline Mid
Regatta are known for their exceptional value, and these boots fit into that category. Truthfully they’re much better than many other far more expensive brands.
